The device (1) has a set of polar parts (3, 4) that is placed in extension with regard to each other, where the polar parts are separated by an air-gap. A variable component (2) is mounted with a sliding motion according to an axis (X) of a sliding motion. The polar parts and the variable component are allowed to vary from an initial position to a release position when a trigger threshold is reached. An adjustment unit (8) is arranged to vary the air-gap so as to adjust the trigger threshold. The adjustment unit comprises a positioning element (9).
