The device (1) has a front cover (8) provided with two rectangular openings (13), which horizontally extend according to a transverse direction of a vehicle. Two flaps (11) are swivelingly adapted to seal or close the openings. The flaps are mounted on a support part (10) to input power in the openings. The support part includes a main planar face (17) delimiting a lower part of the openings. The front cover includes two projections (16) extending towards each other. The support part is inserted in the front cover so that the main planar face comes to cover the projections. An independent claim is also included for a kit for closing a storage space provided below a seat of a vehicle.
