The system has a cylindrical- or conical tube extended vertically, where the tube serves as a collecting mechanism and air occurs in a lower end area (12) of the tube and upwardly flows inside the tube due to a temperature difference. The tube has a set of openings (16) outward to the atmosphere. The openings are closeable over articulately supported movable flaps (14), and side air is absorbed via the openings according to a venturi principle and is carried by a main flow in the tube. The openings are provided in different height positions of the tube. An independent claim is also included for a method for using energy from upwardly directed air flow.
