The method involves obtaining a symmetric key (Ktmp) (E4), and encrypting the symmetric key using an asymmetric key (Kpub) (E71). The encrypted symmetric key is inserted (E72) in a digital watermarking message for a host image, and the digital watermark message is inserted (E8) in the host image by using a watermarking algorithm using the symmetric key, where the symmetric key is generated in a pseudo-random manner, and the symmetric key is validated to implement the insertion of the watermarking message in the host image multiple times.
