The device has a facial structure that is made up of multiple arms (1-3) that are articulated with regard to each other by a pivot and a slide. A tilting hook (9) is arranged for tightening a chain (4). The tilting hook is arranged for maintaining lengths of the chain on a tread of a pneumatic tire (11) of an automobile i.e. car. The arms of the facial structure are prolonged along the tread of the tire. The chain is fixed on both sides of the tread. A spring is arranged between the tilting hook and the chain.
