The device has a plate (2) that is intended to be partly embedded in a prefabricated wall (M) e.g. upper prefabricated wall. A base plate (3) comprises a receiving unit (4) for receiving a post of a guard body. A fixing unit is arranged to fix the base plate on the plate in a reversible manner. The fixing unit comprises a hanging unit (6) for hanging the base plate on the plate. The fixing unit comprises a locking unit (7) for locking the base plate on the plate in a position of fixing of the base plate on the plate. An independent claim is also included for a building.
