MONOBLOC PIECE COMPRISING A MAGNETOCALORIC MATERIAL COMPRISING AN ALLOY COMPRISING IRON AND SILICON AND AT LEAST ONE LANTHANIDE, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAID MONOBLOC PIECE
The subject of the invention is a one-piece piece based on at least one magnetocaloric material comprising an alloy comprising iron and silicon and a lanthanide, characterized in that: said part comprises a base located in a first plane defined by a first direction (Dx) and a second direction (Dy) and a set of N unit blades (L) integral with said base; said blades having a first dimension (D) in the first direction, a second dimension (D) in the second direction and a third dimension (D) in a third direction (Dz) perpendicular to the first and second dimensions; an ith blade being separated from an (i + 1) th blade by an ith distance (d); the ratio between the second dimension and the first dimension being greater than or equal to 10; the ratio between the third dimension and the first dimension being greater than or equal to 6; the first dimension being of the same order of magnitude as said distance separating an ith blade from an (i + 1) th blade. The magnetocaloric material may be a rare earth based alloy or a composite material based on a polymer binder and a rare earth based alloy. The invention also relates to an extrusion process for producing the one-piece parts of the invention.
