The method involves allowing a customer (CL) to select parameters of a request for appointment, where the parameters are selected via an application (9) of a terminal e.g. iPhone (RTM: Smartphone). The appointment request is transmitted via a server (10). A geographical position of the terminal of the customer is determined by the server. A distance between the geographical position of the terminal and a commercial shop is utilized for detecting that the customer is in approach of the shop. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a terminal (2) a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method for providing appointments between a set of customers and a set of shops (3) a recording medium comprising instructions for performing the method for managing appointments between a set of customers and a set of shops.
