Oil-in-water nanoemulsion comprises: an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, where the oil has an average size of less than 200 nm, more preferably less than 100 nm; amphiphilic lipid; and superabsorbent polymer. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic process for makingup and/or moisturizing the skin, mucous membranes and/or scalp comprising applying oil-in-water nanoemulsion to skin, mucous membranes and/or scalp; and (2) a method for thickening oil-in-water nanoemulsion comprising adding superabsorbent polymer to nanoemulsion.
