The structure has two rails (3) longitudinally connected together by a set of cross-pieces (5) that extend transverse to the rails. A reinforcement beam (11) longitudinally extends on the cross-pieces, and a set of support spacers (12) extends between the cross-pieces and the rails. The support spacers are fixed with the reinforcement beam to support a portion of a railway (1). The reinforcement beam longitudinally extends between the rails. The support spacers rest on a ground (S) or a ballast. A butt spacer fixes a stud (9) that is vertically arranged to partially support the rails. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a supporting structure.
