The bone screw has teeth (10) for cutting a bone, where each of the teeth is bounded by a cutting face (12) and a clearance face (13). A notch (14) extends from a distal edge of the screw, along the base of the cutting face of each tooth, where the notch is arranged parallel to an axis of the screw. The notch is arranged through a wall of the screw, where the notch emerges in a central bore of the screw. The notch is arranged in a radial direction up to the level of the axis of the screw, where the depth of the notch is equal to half of dimension of the cutting face.
