The device has a front part (1) and a rear part (2) including outer faces (1.1, 2.1) and inner faces (1.2, 2.2), respectively. The front and rear parts are connected by a cord (4), which is threaded in supports (3) that adapts the device to a thickness of a book. A lining (6) is assembled at a leg (7). The supports are provided on the leg. A thin strap (5) is rolled up around the book, and maintained by bypassers. Oversewn seams (8) and a bookmark (9) are provided in the device. The thin strap allows carrying of the book.
