The method involves transferring operation information from a data memory (16) of an electric heater (11) to a bi-directional exchange device i.e. remote control (23). The information is transferred from the remote control to a data memory of another electric heater (12), where the transfer of information is carried out by a wireless link of infrared type or short-range radio link, and the remote control includes a wireless transmitter/receiver (24) and a memory (25) for storage of the transferred information. An independent claim is also included for a domestic heating installation assembly.
