The present invention provides a seat angle adjusting mechanism. The seat angle adjusting mechanism includes at least one fixing component 12 and an engaging component 11. The at least one fixing component 12 is disposed on one of the seat and the supporting base transversely along the supporting base. An end of the engaging component 11 is pivoted to the other one of the seat and the supporting base, and another part of the engaging component 11 is selectively engaged with the at least one fixing component 12 in different positions. The engaging component 11 is pivoted to detach from the at least one fixing component 12, and the seat is pulled in a back-and-forth direction along the supporting base so as to move relative to the supporting base for adjusting the angle of the backrest relative to the supporting base. An operating component 13 may be provided for driving the engagement component 11 to pivot. A child safety seat is also provided.
