PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing high-quality human mesenchymal stem cell (REC) and a method for separation and/or quality evaluation of highly purified human mesenchymal stem cell with it.SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of selecting cells expressing Fzd5 or Ror2 with anti-Fzd5 antibody or anti-Ror2 antibody from cell population comprising human mesenchymal stem cells to separate and select human mesenchymal stem cells REC (REC: Rapidly Expanding Clone) having excellent proliferation property. REC and deteriorated clones other than it were compared. In the quality evaluation method of human mesenchymal stem cell, A is comparison of expression of Ror2 mRNA in each of REC, MEC, SEC with quantitative PCR; B is comparison of expression of Fzd5 mRNA in each of them with quantitative PCR; C is comparison of expression of Fzd5 protein with Western blotting; and D is comparison of intracellular localization of Fzd5 protein with immunofluorescent staining.
