PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery mechanism of a recording head which can suppress the generation of an ink residue on an ink discharge surface with a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: A recovery mechanism of recording heads 17a-17c comprises wipers 35a-35c and a drive mechanism, and can execute the recovery operation of the recording heads 17a-17c including: a residual ink adhesion process of causing a residual ink 22a on the tips of the wipers 35a-35c to adhere to a first position P1; and a wiping process of wiping off the residual ink 22a and a purge ink 22b by moving the wipers 35a-35c in a first direction toward a nozzle region R side along an ink discharge surface F from a second position P2 on the side opposite to the nozzle region R with respect to the first position P1 after execution of the residual ink adhesion process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
