PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin composition for an optical waveguide, which can achieve a low loss when used as a material for forming an optical waveguide, particularly, as a material for forming a core layer.;SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition for an optical waveguide comprises a resin component and a photopolymerization initiator. The resin component shows an absorbance of less than 0.03 at 2,960 cm-1 by an attenuated total reflection (ATR) method using a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), and essentially comprises a polymerizable substituent-containing resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
