PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhibitor and a therapeutic agent or a preventive agent which inhibit chronic inflammation accompanying aging or obesity by inhibiting the increase in the number of PD-1 positive memory T cells, to provide a device for assessing affection probability, and to provide a screening method.SOLUTION: An inhibitor for chronic inflammation accompanying aging or obesity comprises a substance which inhibits the increase in the number of PD-1 positive memory T cells. For the substance, using antibodies which eliminate PD-1 positive memory T cells is preferable. A therapeutic agent or a preventive agent for diseases associated with chronic inflammation accompanying aging or obesity contains the substance which inhibits the increase in the number of PD-1 positive memory T cells as an active ingredient. A device for assessing affection probability of diseases associated with chronic inflammation accompanying aging or obesity has a measurable means for the cell number of PD-1 positive memory T cells in a sample sampled from a subject, and a means for assessing affection probability of diseases associated with chronic inflammation accompanying aging or obesity based on the test result by the measurable means.
