PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction agitation tool that enables friction agitation junction in a junction object part of a metal plate to be preferably performed while suppressing a load applied on the tool even when a thickness in the junction object part changes.SOLUTION: With respect to a beveling part 6 of a par of butting metal plates 5, the apparatus includes a first rotary tool 21 arranged on the front surface side of the beveling part 6 and a second rotary tool 22 arranged on the back surface side of the beveling part 6: the first rotary tool 21 has a first tool body 31 having a first shoulder part 35 coming in contact with the front surface of the beveling part 6, a first probe 32 projecting from the first tool body 31 to the tip side, and a protrusion 33 projecting from the first probe 32 to the tip side. The second rotary tool 22 has a second tool body 41 having a second shoulder part 45 coming in contact with the back surface of the beveling part 6, a second probe 42 projecting from the second tool body 41 to the tip side, and a protrusion storage part 43 that can store the protrusion 33 of the first rotary tool 21.
