PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material made of an ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene capable of producing a member and a component having a desired shape using an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.SOLUTION: There is provided a plate material made of an ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene 10 which comprises a plate-like core material 16 and a first and second sheets 12 and 14 disposed on both surfaces in the thickness direction of the core material 16. The core material 16 has higher strength, rigidity and melting point than the first and second sheets 12 and 14 and is made of a plastically deformable material in which a plurality of penetration parts 1602 penetrating in the thickness direction are provided. The first sheet 12 is formed of an ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene having a molecular weight of 500000 or more. The second sheet 14 is formed of a synthetic resin capable of being welded to the first sheet 12 when heat-melted. The first and second sheets 12 and 14 are welded to each other via a filled part 20 filled in the penetration parts 1602 and are integrated with the core material 16.
