PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering rare-earth elements with high recovery ratio, from the waste permanent magnet oxidation scrap.SOLUTION: From a waste permanent magnet oxidation scrap, rare-earth elements can be recovered by a method comprising: a step of exuding the waste permanent magnet oxidation scrap with an aqueous sulfuric acid solution; and a step of adding sodium sulfate to the aqueous sulfuric acid solution to precipitate the rare-earth elements contained in the waste permanent magnet oxidation scrap, followed by recovering the same. The waste permanent magnet oxidation scrap may be selected from those containing neodymium.
