PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable observation of a state in which a specimen is in the process of being broken in a shear testing device.SOLUTION: A shear testing device for shearing a specimen formed out of a composite material containing fibers, includes: a support supporting the specimen while exposing at least part of an edge of the specimen; an input-side jig including the exposed part of the edge of the specimen and punching the test piece; and an output-side jig receiving the input-side jig completed with punching of the specimen, the support being fixed to the output-side jig.
