PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified mesoporous silica nanoparticle excellent in dispersibility in organic solvents and a method of producing a modified mesoporous silica nanoparticle which is excellent in dispersibility in organic solvents and has reactive groups on the surface of the nanoparticle.;SOLUTION: A method of producing a mesoporous silica nanoparticle surface-modified with a silane coupling agent includes a step of preparing a mesoporous silica nanoparticle having a structure in which mesopores are arranged hexagonally and a step of mixing together, with stirring, a slurry prepared by wetting the mesoporous silica nanoparticle with an alcohol and a water/alcohol-based solution of a hydrolysate of a silane coupling obtained by adding an acid catalyst and modifying the surface of the mesoporous silica nanoparticle while being subjected to an ultrasonic treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
