PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship boiler capable of ensuring the oxidation treatment on volatile gas containing low-concentration volatile organic compounds while suppressing consumption of main fuel.SOLUTION: Provided is a ship boiler 1 comprising: a burner 3; a VOC gas supply unit 60 supplying VOC gas into a fire furnace 2; and a controller 50 regulating a supply quantity of combustion fuel to the burner 3 and a supply quantity of combustion air to the burner 3 and exerting an operation control within a predetermined load range, the controller 50 having a limited operation mode for exerting the operation control within a restricted load range so that the VOC gas flowing from the VOC gas supply unit 60 into the fire furnace 2 and introduced to a gas outlet 8 is kept at a predetermined temperature or higher and that the VOC gas resides in the fire furnace 2 for predetermined time or longer.
