PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared photosensitive color-developing composition that develops a color in a high concentration by infrared exposure, and has little color fading with time.SOLUTION: An infrared photosensitive color-developing composition comprises (component A) a compound represented by formula (1), and (component B) infrared absorber. In the formula (1), Rand Rindependently represent a hydrogen atom or a 1-8C hydrocarbon group, at least one of Rand Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, R-Rindependently represent a hydrogen atom or a univalent substituent, two to four of R-Rmay bond together to form a cyclic structure, and X represents a group that leaves to generate a polymethine dye, azobenzene dye or pyrazolotriazole dye.
