METHOD FOR CONNECTING NEW DESIGN DATA CREATED BY HIGH-LEVEL SYNTHESIS TO EXISTING DESIGN DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting new design data created by high-level synthesis to existing design data, the method being capable of harmonizing the interface circuit specifications without human intervention.;SOLUTION: An interface description for connection to an existing RTL is created based on a protocol of an interface circuit of the existing RTL. The number of processing cycles for the existing RTL is read from the interface description for connection to the existing RTL. A data path circuit for performing data processing of the existing RTL and a data path circuit for performing data processing of a new RTL are created corresponding to the number of processing cycles for the existing RTL and the number of processing cycles determined in the new RTL, respectively. In the data path circuit of the new RTL, a new interface circuit for connection to the interface circuit of the existing RTL is created based on the interface description for connection to the existing RTL.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
