PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel tag peptide which has more improved responsiveness compared to the conventional one and to provide a purification, detection, and immobilization method of a protein using the tag peptide.SOLUTION: The peptides (KMVQGSGC) of an amino acid sequence consisting of a specific sequence are used as a tag peptide for a method of detecting or quantifying the protein comprising steps of the following (i)-(iii). (i) is a step of preparing a sample containing a protein added with as a tag peptide the peptides (KMVQGSGC) of the amino acid sequence consisting of a specific sequence. (ii) is a step of contacting the tag peptide and a substance to be bonded to the sample obtained by the step (i) to form a bound substance of the substance to be bonded with the tag peptide and the protein added with the tag peptide. (iii) is a step of detecting or quantifying the bound substance obtained by the step (ii).
