PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to determine whether software is replaceable while ensuring stable system operation.;SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a computer 4 of a plant monitoring system comprises: a plant monitoring database 10 storing latest plant data; a plant data extraction unit 11 extracting plant data related to a target software from the plant monitoring database 10; a logical operation unit 12 performing an arithmetic operation applying the extracted plant data to a logical table 12a, and calculating whether the target software can be updated; a state table storage unit 13 receiving a result of the logical operation unit 12, storing the result as a state table 13a, and outputting the updatable state if the target software can be updated; a file system 14 storing an update file; and an installer 15 reading the update file from the file system 14 and replacing a replacement target file with the update file if the state table storage unit 13 outputs the updatable state upon determination that the target software can be updated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
