PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of oxide solid electrolyte material which can obtain oxide solid electrolyte material capable of reducing interface resistance.SOLUTION: A production method of oxide solid electrolyte material comprises: a preparation step of preparing an intermediate member comprising an ion conductor composed of an oxide including Li and a niobium-containing layer which is formed on the ion conductor and is composed of metallic niobium or a niobium oxide reactive with lithium carbonate; and a heat treatment step of performing heat treatment of the intermediate member, and reacting a component of lithium carbonate present on a surface of the ion conductor with the niobium-containing layer, thereby forming an interdiffusion part comprising a Li-Nb-O compound.
