PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic wire capable of almost completely preventing tooth root resorption by being used for an orthodontic treatment which enables a three-dimensional tooth body movement, which hardly damages a tissue.;SOLUTION: An orthodontic wire 11 includes a first part 11a, a second part 11b, an arch-shaped third part 11c, a fourth part 11d, and a fifth part 11d, and is composed of a stainless steel wire, which is arch-shaped as a whole, having a rectangular cross-sectional shape of (0.41±0.05 mm)×(0.56±0.05 mm). The first and fifth parts are located substantially in a first plane, the second and fourth parts are located substantially in a second plane, and the third part is located substantially in a third plane. The long side of the rectangle in the cross-section of the stainless steel wire is substantially parallel to the first, second, and third planes. The first plane is inclined by 12-25 degrees with respect to the second plane, and the third plane is inclined by 12-25 degrees on the same side as the first plane with respect to the second plane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
