PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preceding vehicle follow-up system capable of maintaining a fuel consumption property of a present vehicle high while making a driving behavior of the present vehicle dependent on a driving behavior of another vehicle that is set as a target vehicle.;SOLUTION: A preceding vehicle follow-up system 1 which makes the present vehicle follow up the target vehicle includes: a present vehicle information acquisition part 21 for acquiring present vehicle information including present vehicle position information; another vehicle information acquisition part 22 for acquiring other vehicle information including fuel consumption information representing a fuel consumption property based on a driving tendency of a driver regarding each of other vehicles around the present vehicle; and a target vehicle determination part 23 for determining the target vehicle so as to preferentially select a vehicle with the highest driving fuel consumption property from among the other vehicles around the present vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
