PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a homonym removing method by which homonyms can be prevented from adversely affecting the performance of reliability measure.;SOLUTION: A homonym removing method comprises a confusion network generating step of generating a confusion network that represents candidates for a recognition result from recognition of speech, and a homonym removing step of choosing as a top candidate an arc to which the highest word posterior probability in each confusion set in the confusion network is assigned, removing from the confusion network an arc to which the same pronunciation as the top candidate is assigned after detecting it as a homonym arc, and outputting a homonym-cleared confusion network in which the word posterior probability of the top candidate is a value determined on the basis of the word posterior probability of the top candidate or pronunciation similarity between the removed word and the top candidate word.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
