PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in a liquid-surface floating culture method in which microalgae is cultured on a liquid surface, a culture method in which oil content in microalgae is improved, recovery probability of bottom surface algae is reduced, and a culture method in which proliferation rate of microalgae is improved.;SOLUTION: A culture medium is absorbed from a region having less presence of microalgae between a liquid surface and a bottom surface, the medium is discarded, substituted for a culture medium having lower concentration of nitrogen compound or phosphorus compound than the culture medium, and cultured. Further, liquid is added immediately before recovering microalgae on the liquid surface, and a water depth in an incubator is made deeper. Further, liquid-surface floating culture is performed to microalgae by using a culture medium containing sugar. Microalgae which is capable of forming a biofilm on the liquid surface and has particular characteristics when cultured in a culture medium inside the incubator may be used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
