PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the introduction cost of such a device or a system relatively low and facilitate its (posterior) introduction into existing wheeled vehicles.;SOLUTION: A doze preventing ECU 37 of a doze preventing device 12 is connected to each of ECUS 14 to 23 via a vehicle network 13 and executes processing to prevent dozes. First, an audio output of a loudspeaker 41 gives a vehicle driver a designative notice to operate one of operating switches 24 set at random. Along with this notice, the ECUS 14 to 18 supervising the designated operating switch 24 are instructed to return information on the reaction time taken until the pertinent operating switch 24 is operated. The relative seriousness of the driver's doziness is determined from the reaction time information, and each of the ECUS 14 to 23 is instructed to take a safety measure according to the determined seriousness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
