PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license plate inclination angle calculation device, a computer program and a license plate inclination angle calculation method that enable a calculation of an inclination angle of a license plate.;SOLUTION: A license plate inclination angle calculation device comprises: a character candidate area specification part that specifies a plurality of character candidate areas on the basis of an image having a license plate photographed; a set extraction part that extracts a set of two character candidate areas in the vicinity of each other from a plurality of character candidate areas specified by the character candidate area specification part; a number candidate area specification part that specifies a number candidate area including respective character candidate areas of a plurality of sets in which an inclination of a virtual line segment connecting two character candidate areas of the set by the set extraction part on the image falls within a predetermined range; and a calculation part that calculates an inclination angle of the license plate on the basis of a position of the character candidate area within the number candidate area specified by the number candidate area specification part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
