PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that significantly reduces cesium-contaminated waste generated by a process for removing cesium from turbid water that contains suspended solids with radioactive cesium absorbed therein.;SOLUTION: An apparatus of the present invention for removing cesium in turbid water includes; a filter body 22 which is non-absorptive to suspended solids in water and includes either dispersible and non-absorptive particles 21 or a washable non-absorptive filter; a turbid water supply unit 24 for supplying turbid water 10 containing suspended solids 12 with radioactive cesium absorbed therein to the filter body 22; a processed water discharge unit 26 for discharging processed water 14 that has been filtered through the filter body 22; a filter body containment unit 28 for accommodating the filter body 22 therein; a processed-side net unit 30 for holding the filter body, having meshes finer than the non-absorptive particles 21 and coarser than the suspended solids 12; a cleaning water supply unit 32 for supplying cleaning water 16 to the filter body 22; and a contaminated water discharge unit 34 for discharging cleaned water 18 containing the suspended solids 12 that has passed through the processed-side net unit 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
