PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor which can provide an easily producible oxide phosphor and, further, a light-emitting device having high color purity.;SOLUTION: A phosphor comprises a compound represented by a general formula (I): M1aM2bM3cOd as a matrix and Ce as a light-emitting center ion in the matrix (where, in the formula (I), M1 is a divalent metal element including at least Sr; M2 is a trivalent metal element including at least one selected from a group consisting of Sc, Y, and Lu; M3 is a trivalent metal element including at least Al; and a, b, c, and d are numbers in ranges of 5.4 to 6.6, 1.8 to 2.2, 3.6 to 4.4, and 14.0 to 16.0, respectively). The phosphor is represented by, as a composition at a time of charging, Sr6(Y1-xCex)2Al4O15 (where, 0.05≤x≤0.25) and, preferably, its luminescent color is orange or red.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
