PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of an electrophoresis apparatus that enables high-quality display.SOLUTION: An electrophoresis apparatus 150 includes a selection transistor 21, an N-type first transistor 26N connected to a first line 551, a P-type second transistor 26P connected to a second line 552, an N-type third transistor 27N connected to a third line 553, a P-type fourth transistor 27P connected to a fourth line 554, a ring oscillator element 28, a pixel electrode 22, a common electrode 23, and an electrophoretic material 24. Since first particles and second particles are efficiently separated from each other, an electrophoresis apparatus 150 having a high contrast ratio and showing high image quality can be achieved.
