PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide site-specific chemical modifications of human Fas ligand extracellular domain protein retaining receptor-binding function to introduce properties of interest without damaging intrinsic biological activities.;SOLUTION: The site-specific chemical modification of human Fas ligand extracellular domain of the invention has a chemically modified cysteine residue at the amino terminal remote from the interface of specific ligand - receptor interaction between the human Fas ligand extracellular domain and the human Fas receptor protein, where the modification is carried out by using a compound having a reactive site that specifically binds to a cysteine residue.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
