PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge pier soundness evaluation method and a bridge pier soundness evaluation device capable of accurately evaluating soundness of a bridge pier taking into consideration running safety of a train.;SOLUTION: Because a bridge pier soundness evaluation method calculates character frequency of a bridge pier 3 by detecting microtremor caused by wind in a time zone when a train does not pass, the same is not affected by a type of a train passing a bridge. Also, focusing on amplitude of acceleration, the bridge pier soundness evaluation method evaluates soundness of a bridge pier 3 with an acceleration amplitude ratio obtained by dividing a maximum value of acceleration amplitude perpendicular to an axial direction of the bridge by the maximum value of the acceleration amplitude in the axial direction of the bridge in addition to the character frequency on the basis of the microtremor. Thus, the bridge pier soundness evaluation method can perform extremely accurate evaluation by combining highly accurate character frequency on the basis of the microtremor and the acceleration amplitude ratio in consideration of a direction of the acceleration amplitude of the pier 3 when the train passes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
