PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diaphragm for alkali water electrolysis excellent in characteristics required for an ion permeable diaphragm generally used for alkali water electrolysis (namely, (1) having ion permeability, (2) having mechanical strength and chemical stability to alkali water, (3) having no passage of gas through a diaphragm and (4) having short-circuit preventability between electrodes, and also capable of suppressing the increase of voltage by the sticking of gas generated in electrodes to the surface (outermost surface) of a diaphragm upon electrolysis.;SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a diaphragm for alkali water electrolysis with a microporous membrane, including depositing at least one kind of metal oxide selected from titanium oxide and zirconium oxide on the surface of the microporous membrane by an aerosol deposition method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
