TESTING DEVICE FOR DC BREAKER AND TESTING METHOD BY TESTING DEVICE OF DC BREAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device and a testing method capable of testing a DC breaker without introducing any largely scaled high-pressure rectifier.SOLUTION: A testing device of a DC breaker 1 for cutting off DC current is configured such that: (1) a steady state current supply part is disposed to supply DC current 11 to the DC breaker 1; (2) a fault current supply part is disposed to supply fault current 12 larger than the DC current 11 to the DC breaker 1; (3) a surge absorber 10 whose operation voltage is lower than that of a surge absorber 102 is disposed in parallel with the DC breaker 1; (4) the fault current supply part includes a reactor 5, a capacitor 7 and an opening/closing part 9; and (5) AC current is generated by a transient phenomenon when the fault current 12 is allowed to flow by the opening/closing part 9.
