PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN base station device capable of detecting that a radio terminal is located within a narrow area, a position identification system, an information provision system, a position identification method and a program therefor.;SOLUTION: A wireless LAN base station device 1 transmits a packet to a wireless LAN terminal 2 held by a client located within a service provision area. The wireless LAN base station device includes transmission output switching means (14 and 17) in which, when identifying the client who is in an information provision area within the service provision area, transmission output of the packet is switched from transmission output for covering the service provision area to transmission output for covering the information provision area desired to provide eigen-information.
