METHOD FOR DESIGNING BASE ISOLATION WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a base isolation wall, capable of efficiently designing the base isolation wall having preferable characteristics in a short period of time.;SOLUTION: A base isolation wall is installed between a subgrade and a structure, and is made from a clay-based material having water-absorbing swelling characteristics. A method for designing the base isolation wall includes: a step S10 for acquiring an average shear wave speed of a subgrade; a step S11 for setting a target shear wave speed of the base isolation wall so that a specified multiple value of the target shear wave speed to the average shear wave speed of a subgrade is less than 1(one); a step S12 for determining a target dry density corresponding the target shear wave speed from a relationship between the shear wave speed and the dry density of the clay-based material acquired beforehand; and a step S13 for determining a moisture content and a composition of the clay-based material on the basis of the target dry density.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
