PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide MRI-guided devices and MRI-guided interventional systems that can track the devices and generate dynamic visualizations of the devices in near real time.SOLUTION: An MRI-compatible catheter 80 includes an elongated flexible shaft 402 having a distal portion 406 and a proximal end portion 408 which are opposed to each other. A handle 440 is attached to the proximal end portion 408 and includes an actuator in communication with the shaft distal end portion 406 that is configured to articulate the shaft distal end portion 406. The distal end portion 406 of the shaft may include an ablation tip 410 and includes at least one RF tracking coil positioned adjacent the ablation tip 410 that is electrically connected to an MRI scanner. The at least one RF tracking coil is electrically connected to a circuit that reduces coupling when exposed to an MRI environment.
