PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color particle for electrostatic charge image development, which gives an image formed with high image strength even on a recording medium having a high surface roughness degree and which inhibits the occurrence of such a phenomenon (hot offset) that a toner is excessively heated to adhere to a fixing member.SOLUTION: The color particle for electrostatic charge image development comprises a binder resin and a colorant. When the particle is observed with an optical microscope, the particle has one first region containing the binder resin and the colorant and one or more second regions formed adjoining to a part of the first region and containing the binder resin and no colorant. A percentage of a projected area of one second region to a projected area of the first region is 2% or more and 70% or less; and a percentage of a projected area of the whole second regions to a projected area of the whole color particle is 10% or more and 70% or less.
