PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify, while Mid-Atlantic Ridge ends at the northern latitude of about 55° and depth of water is shallow on a north side from the northern latitude of 55°, why a mark of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge has disappeared but the trace continues to the northern latitude of about 65° and the part is cut by a straight line, and why a west side of the African continent is turned to a cave-in state.;SOLUTION: The depth of water is shallow on the north side from the northern latitude of 55° because rocks are crushed and scattered by shock waves of a meteorite that has fallen into Hudson bay. The mark of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge has disappeared but the trace continues to the northern latitude of about 65°, indicating that the island of Ireland and Great Britain were cut off from Labrador heights of the North American continent.
