System and method for dealing with Doppler effect in distributed input distributed output wireless system

A system and method for correcting the adverse effects of Doppler on the performance of a DIDO system is described. One embodiment of such a system uses different selection algorithms that adaptively adjust the active BTS for different UEs based on tracking changing channel conditions. Another embodiment uses channel prediction to estimate future CSI or DIDO precoding weights, thereby eliminating errors due to obsolete CSI.
