PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandbag and a laying method of the sandbag, for preventing the outflow in a flood, capable of being easily carried and being simply fixed to the ground with few piles, without damaging an outer bag.;SOLUTION: The sandbag A of the present invention comprises the rectangular solid-shaped outer bag 1 composed of a water permeable raw material, a grip 2 installed on an outer surface of the outer bag 1 and a swellable water absorption material stored inside the outer bag 1, and the grip 2 is an annular shape, and is respectively installed at four-corners of a plane of the outer bag 1.
