PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a N2O decomposition catalyst capable of exhibiting N2O decomposition performance at a sufficiently high level under low temperature region such as 200°C or less, and a method for decomposing a N2O-containing gas using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: There are provided a N2O decomposition catalyst including: at least one active metals selected from the groups consisting of Pt, Au and Ag; and a carrier containing Ce such as oxide, hydroxide, acetate, carbonate and nitrate of cerium as well as a method for decomposing a N2O-containing gas using the catalyst. The method for decomposing a N2O-containing gas comprises supplying the N2O-containing gas with a hydrogen-containing gas intermittently to decompose N2O, at the time before the N2O-containing gas is brought into contact with the N2O decomposition catalyst and/or at the time when the N2O-containing gas is brought into contact with the N2O decomposition catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
